Is it worth paying for a tutor?

I am studying for my project management certification all by myself and I feel completely stuck with the material. I have tried watching free videos online but nothing is sticking in my brain. My test date is getting closer and my confidence is hitting rock bottom. I was so desperate yesterday that I actually looked up a PMP tutoring service just to see if I could afford some real help. Do you guys think coaching is better than self-study?
